An all-volunteer fire department run under the Big Pine Fire Protection District, based at 181 N. Main Street in Big Pine. It serves the town and surrounding parts of Inyo County, including Glacier Lodge and the Owens Valley. The department also opens its doors for community events, such as a push-in ceremony welcoming new apparatus at the station.
