A tribal economic development corporation of the Bishop Paiute Tribe, based in Bishop on the tribe’s reservation lands in the Owens Valley. BPDC pursues economic self-sufficiency for the tribe through land development, business development, training programs, and job creation. It manages several commercial and government-leased properties in the Bishop area, including the U.S. Forest Service/Bureau of Land Management Headquarters building, the Department of Motor Vehicles building, and the Owens Valley Career Development Campus and Commercial Park. The corporation has also overseen major capital projects including casino and hotel development on tribal lands.
