A nonprofit historical society in June Lake that investigates, collects, preserves, and exhibits artifacts, records, images, documents, and property of historical interest relating to the June Lake Loop community in the Eastern Sierra. The society runs a museum at 120 Granite Avenue, open to the public at no charge, and holds monthly membership meetings at the June Lake Community Center during summer. Its annual general membership meeting in August features a historian or speaker. Fundraiser events have included country music dinners with live bands and dancing at local venues. Anyone with historical knowledge — through research or personal experience — is encouraged to get involved, and the society accepts donations of objects, stories, and photographs to build its collection.
