A taskforce of the Town of Mammoth Lakes, CalFresh Healthy Living and Mammoth Disposal Company that works to cut food waste in the Eastern Sierra. The group looks at ways to reduce, rescue and redistribute extra food, so edible food stays out of the trash and reaches people who need it. Topics include community composting, building local program capacity, food donation opportunities and compliance with California’s SB 1383 food recovery rules. Its meetings are held online over Zoom.
