Eastern Sierra Land Trust

A nonprofit land conservation organization based at 250 N. Fowler Street in Bishop, working with landowners across Inyo, Mono, and Alpine counties to permanently protect farms, ranches, wildlife habitat, and open space in the Eastern Sierra. Its Community Connections Program brings people of all ages outdoors through guided field trips, wildlife tracking workshops, wildflower walks, birdwatching outings, stewardship days, and pollinator garden events. Many outdoor events meet at trailheads or conservation lands along or near Highway 395, with exact locations shared with registered participants ahead of time. The organization also hosts community gatherings at its Bishop office backyard, including its annual GardenFest and seasonal mixers, and puts on a annual Lands and Legacy fundraising celebration. Events are open to the public and to members, and anyone can take part.
