A multi-day trail running festival in Mammoth Lakes, held each September. It brings together trail races, a fest, films and volunteer and partner opportunities. The races range from a kids’ 1K and a 26K to a 50K, with a hill climb and a multi-race Mammoth Triple. Free town shuttles connect stops around town, including Village Plaza, Canyon Lodge, Main Lodge and Tamarack Lodge. Family programming, childcare information and lodging details are part of the weekend, so runners, spectators and families can all take part. Free live entertainment, storytelling, a vendor village and local food add to the event. Events include the Dragon’s Back Ascent.
