Beginner Bird Walk @ The Village at Mammoth (Trailfest)

Join Eastern Sierra Bird Alliance volunteer Maggie Smith for a beginner-friendly bird walk during Mammoth Trailfest! Open to kids and adults of all ages — no experience needed. Maggie will bring extra binoculars to share and will teach basic binocular skills before the group heads out. The walk starts in Village Plaza along Canyon Boulevard near the gondola (meet at the wood chips area) and winds up through a forest trail along the Wooly 1k course. Participants will make observations and learn about each bird species spotted along the way. Stay as long as you like — the walk is self-paced and family-friendly. Dress in layers. Note: the Village area will be busy with Trailfest vendors and 26k race runners, adding to the festive atmosphere. For Trailfest maps and general event info, visit mammothtrailfest.com.
