Cloudripper Pop-Up: Falafel & Golden Rice Bowls @ Owens Valley Distilling Company

Cloud Ripper is popping up at Owens Valley Distilling Company (OVDC) Thursday through Saturday, August 27–29, starting at 6:00 PM each evening. The featured dish is a Falafel and Golden Rice Bowl: golden turmeric rice topped with cucumber, local Blue Heron chard, and homemade falafel, finished with a yogurt-based white sauce and your choice of flavor bomb — spicy Yemeni zhoug, Lebanese garlic toum, or briny Kalamata olive purée. Gluten-free; a vegan version with tahini-lemon sauce is available. Also on the menu: Blue Heron Project Heirloom Tomato Salad and Cake.
