Meet the Author: Deep Time in the Mono Lake Basin @ Eastern Sierra Interagency Visitor Center

Stop by the Eastern Sierra Interagency Visitor Center in Lone Pine for a meet-the-author and book signing event with historian Robert B. Marks, author of Deep Time in the Mono Lake Basin. Visit anytime between 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm on Saturday, September 26 to meet Dr. Marks, learn about the 10,000-year history of the Mono Basin, and have your copy of the book signed. The book examines the forces shaping the basin’s ecosystem — from Indigenous peoples and the Kootzaduka’a to Euro-American settlement, water rights disputes, and conservation. The event is free and open to the public. Books will likely be available for purchase, though this is not explicitly confirmed in the source.
