Science on Tap: Pinyon-Juniper Ecology and Stewardship @ Latte Da Cafe

Join the Whitebark Institute for the next installment of their Science on Tap Speaker Series, featuring Research Ecologist Dr. Alexandra Urza presenting “Pinyon-Juniper Ecology and Stewardship in an Era of Rapid Change.” Dr. Urza will explore the cultural, ecological, and historical significance of pinyon-juniper ecosystems — trees that have served as a critical food source and spiritual symbol for Indigenous peoples for centuries — and discuss how understanding this landscape is key to building resilient stewardship strategies in the face of rapid environmental change. Gather in the garden at Latte Da Cafe, grab a pastry or drink available for purchase from the cafe, and enjoy an evening of local science conversation. Doors/gathering at 6:00 PM; presentation begins at 6:30 PM.
