Tüba Nüga — Pinenut Blessing & Dance @ Wanaaha Casino Outdoor Grounds

Join the Bishop Paiute community in dancing and giving thanks for a good pinenut harvest at this traditional Tüba Nüga Pinenut Dance ceremony. The blessing and dance begin at 7pm and everyone is welcome — all ages, all backgrounds. Please bring your own lawn chairs and dress in layers as temperatures can drop in the evening. Part of a full day of celebration at the new location, Wanaaha Casino Powwow Grounds in Bishop. Bring a reusable water bottle (water available on site) and your own plate and utensils — show them at the event to be entered into a sustainability raffle for cool prizes. The event encourages no plastic waste in the spirit of caring for Payahuunadü (the Owens Valley).
