The elected governing body of Mono County, made up of five supervisors, each representing a district. It sets county policy, oversees county departments, and hears appeals of Planning Commission decisions. Its public meetings are held at the Mono County Courthouse, 278 Main Street in Bridgeport, and at the Mono County Civic Center, 1290 Tavern Road in Mammoth Lakes. Special meetings are sometimes held in other communities, such as the Chalfant Community Center. Meetings are open to residents who want to follow county business or speak during public comment.
