The Mono County department that provides public health and human services to county residents. Its work covers health coverage such as Medi-Cal, food and financial assistance, workforce services, child welfare, adult protective services and in-home supportive services. It also runs senior programs, public health clinics and emergency shelters. Offices are in Mammoth Lakes, Bridgeport and Walker. The main office is at 1290 Tavern Road in Mammoth Lakes. The department also takes part in community wellness events for older adults and neighbors, including yoga, qi gong and bingo at the Chalfant Community Center and the Antelope Valley Senior Center.
