Tangle Free Waters / Mammoth Lakes Recreation

A program that works to cut down on discarded fishing line in Eastern Sierra waters. It runs through collection stations kept up by volunteers and sponsors, where anglers can drop off used monofilament line. Collected line is recycled into artificial fish habitat and other materials. The program also hosts lake cleanups and sorting events that are open to the public. It is part of Mammoth Lakes Recreation and works with the Town of Mammoth Lakes, Mono County, local shops and community members.
