Mammoth Creek Parcel

A 28-acre open space owned by the Town of Mammoth Lakes, on the north side of Waterford Bridge along the Town Loop. It is bordered by Sherwin Street to the west, Waterford Street to the east, Mammoth Creek to the south and the multi-use pathway to the north. The forest here was recently thinned to improve forest health, which left the site more open. Based on a public survey and direction from the Town Council, the Town plans to avoid large-scale recreation buildout and instead favor keeping the land natural, with quiet uses such as nature trails. Community outdoor events are held here, including a volunteer revegetation planting day.
