The Town of Mammoth Lakes parks and recreation department, based at 437 Old Mammoth Road in Mammoth Lakes. It looks after the town’s parks and recreation facilities, including the Community Recreation Center, Mammoth Ice Rink, Whitmore Pool, Whitmore Track & Sports Field, Shady Rest Park, Mammoth Creek Park, the skate park and the tennis courts. It runs programs for all ages, including youth afterschool camps like Bike Squad and Climbing Crew, pickleball lessons, leagues and tournaments, and free swim days. Many facilities can be rented, and the department also holds public Parks and Recreation Commission meetings and community events such as the Haunted Rink.
