Shady Rest Park

A public park run by the Town of Mammoth Lakes on Sawmill Cutoff Road, about a half mile from Highway 203 near Shady Rest Campground. The park has a playground, picnic areas, a skate park, restrooms, softball and baseball fields, soccer fields, sand volleyball courts, a basketball hoop and a disc golf course. It also connects to the town’s multi-use paths. Public access is free, and the picnic shelter and sports fields and courts can be reserved through the Parks and Recreation Department. In winter, groomed trails at the park are open to snowshoers, dog walkers and skiers. Events here include a kids’ bike rodeo, a beginner bird walk for all ages and a coed beach volleyball tournament.
