CA Summer Vision Fast @ Inyo Mountains – Big Pine

A twelve-day Vision Fast program held August 17–29, 2026 in the Inyo Mountains near Big Pine, California (Payahuunadü). Led by guides Gretchen (Grae) Gerlach and Scott Eberle, this program is described as a border-crossing practice and an opportunity to reclaim one’s true place in the natural world. Participants step across a threshold into wilderness as part of a modern-day vision quest tradition. Part of the School of Lost Borders’ Vision Fast branch. Early registration is strongly recommended — the School advises registering six months to a year in advance to allow preparation time and to secure a spot.
