Fall Pinenut Blessing @ Owens Valley Paiute-Shoshone Cultural Center

The Owens Valley Paiute-Shoshone Cultural Center hosts the Fall Pinenut Blessing in September. This traditional ceremony honors the pinenut harvest, a culturally and nutritionally significant tradition for the Nuumu (Paiute) and Newe (Shoshone) peoples of the Owens Valley. The event is open to the community and held in collaboration with local tribes, programs, agencies, and community partners. All dates are tentative — watch for detailed flyers closer to the event. For more information or to get involved, contact the Cultural Center at (760) 873-8844 or payahu.nadu@bishoppaiute.org.
