Laws Railroad Museum Train Rides

Come to Laws Railroad Museum and enjoy a ride on the historic Brill Car No. 5, a restored self-propelled railcar known as a “Doodlebug.” Car No. 5 was built by the J.G. Brill Company and purchased by the Pacific Coast Borax Company in 1927 to carry tourists on a 22-mile run between Death Valley Junction and Furnace Creek. After being rescued from scrap in 1967, she was returned to Inyo County, and Laws’ volunteer train crew completed her restoration in 2004 — one of only five original Brill Cars of her vintage still running. Rail passes are $8 for adults 18+, $4 for ages 4–17, and free for children 3 and under. The site is accessible and friendly pets on leash are welcome.
