An RV and tent campground at 20 Schober Lane in Bishop, one mile south of town on US-395 and next to the Bishop Country Club golf course. It has about 150 grassy, shaded sites with electricity, hot showers, restrooms and coin-operated laundry. A café and country store sells sandwiches, ice cream, homemade pies, souvenirs, camping supplies and fishing tackle. Families can use the horseshoe pits and kids’ playground. A free museum shows a replica Old West main street with antiques from Bishop’s past. The campground is seasonal, and reservations are made by phone. It also hosts the occasional community event, such as a dog adoption event.
