The Initiatory Nature of Loss @ School of Lost Borders

A seven-day Living & Dying program held September 13–20, 2026, in Payahuunadü (Big Pine) and Eureka Valley, California, led by guides Petra Lentz-Snow and Gretchen (Grae) Gerlach. Drawing on the land as teacher — through flood, drought, fire, and storm — the program explores how change, crisis, and loss can open a new story of becoming. Rooted in nature-based rites of passage, this immersive multi-day experience is part of the School of Lost Borders’ Living & Dying branch. The School recommends registering at least six months to a year in advance to allow time to prepare and secure a spot.
